Bound full original brown morocco with slight raised bands, "S. S. Teacher's Edition" stamped at bottom of spine, most of gilt on spine lettering worn away, rubbed at all edges, worn through leather at small spots at all four corners, corners bumped, page edges originally gilt but most is rubbed away, rear free endpaper tattered at edges, text set in double columns with references in side margins, foxing throughout with a slight tanning overall. 3? x 5? inches.
Collation: A2-15, B-Z16, Aa-Hh16, Ii4; a16, b8; A-B16, C8; B-H16, I8; a2-16; plus 12 leaves maps. OT ends on verso of Aa14, NT begins on recto Aa15, NT ends verso of Ii4. Apparently lacking a half title page at beginning. This Bible has notes in the margins giving a text, marked in parenthesis, and then in the margin giving a date, a minister's name and sometimes a place. Apparently they were texts of sermons the owner heard (J. F. Pollock written on front free endpaper).
