Matthaeus Christoph Pfaff(1686-1760) successor to Jager as chancellor at the Univ. of Tübingen. He was pietistic in "both his understanding of theological method and of the purpose of theology... Pfaff was at least intellectually on the side of the developing Pietistic Movement and for that reason helped to make the Stift at Tübingen its theological center."--Stoeffler: Ger. Piet., pp.93-94. This work known as Pfaffischen Bibelwerks, is Luther's translation, prefaces & comments, and with "new prefaces, summaries, extended parallels, comments and spiritual applications, also prayers at each chapter...edited under the direction of Chr. M. Pfaff." We offer the New Testament volumes (vols 7 & 8) of the larger work of 9 vols (index v.9). The New Testament volumes were edited by Joh. Chr. Klemmen.
