Lehman. Hagerstown, MD.; Printed by the Mail Publishing Co., 1897. Thin 16mo. Bound in green cloth heavily rubbed and soiled--worn through cloth at spine ends and corners, covers slightly warped, light tanning of pages, light scattered foxing, several starts, front inside hinge crack repaired with flexible book repair glue. 155 (1)pp, index. Jacob Lehman was a Reformed Mennonite. "In this small work is presented the doctrine of a united, Christian church, founded A.D. 33, at jerusalem, upon the day of Pentecost, which has been continued to the present time, with the same life, doctrine, and ordinances. We believe it is the will of God, that his church should be found by all sincere seekers after truth, and to that end he has left us certain marks, or signs, by which the church can be identified. In this tract will be found the following marks of identity: Unity, non-resistance of evil, adult baptism upon faith, and separation from the world and from all forms of worship not in agreement with sound doctrine."--p152.
